13 Oct 2009 07:43am Hey girls, since I interviewed Author Jessica Burkhart for the “Following Dreams” page, I thought I would also review her latest book.
TRIPLE FAULT is the fourth book in the Canterwood Crest Series by Jessica Burkhart. Having grown up riding horses herself, Burkhart is able to create interesting characters including several mean girls and Sasha who narrates the story that tween girls can relate to.
The series continues with Sasha still dealing with the pain of losing her boyfriend Jacob to her best friend Callie. Sasha also realizes she now has romantic feelings for her friend Eric. She decides this time to keep her feelings a secret in order to prevent other girls from trying to steal him.
I think this book will relate to tween age girls who enjoy reading books with girl drama and romance. There is romantic tension between Sasha and Eric, as well as, never-ending drama involving the mean girls who come up against her.
My sister Allie especially enjoyed TRIPLE FAULT because she loves horses and she thought all the girl drama made the story fun. She is already asking for TAKE THE REINS which is the first book in the Canterwood Crest series.
Remember to always get your parents approval on any books you set out to read!
Happy reading,
Taylor
